The Mushroom House of Manchester Vermont

We enjoyed our stay at the Mushroom House. It is a rustic cabin in the woods, and comes with all that entails. The kitchen was well-stocked and modern. We loved the trail through the woods to the stream. The sheets and towels were clean and adequate. There were fans for all the rooms to make up for no AC. Drawbacks: The outside porch area had not been cleared of cobwebs, and took quite a bit of cleaning on our part to want to be outside. And we did find some mouse droppings inside the house. But for a pied-a-terre while we explored the area is was perfectly sufficient.

Perfect for what we were looking for. Secluded, quiet and close to town and trails.

This cabin is a beautiful, peaceful retreat situated in a lovely location completely surrounded by nature. Since it is located at the very end of the road, it was incredibly quiet and private. Unfortunately, we did experience a maintenance issue when the heaters and electric stove went out during our stay. However, the host was responsive and gracious enough to issue a full refund (from the day when an issue started) to make up for the inconvenience. With a few maintenance updates, this would be a perfect getaway.

Enjoyed the large fireplace, stream access and great kitchen! Can’t wait to go back!
